
Hoof Trimming Workshop
Learn how to recognize and treat lame cows on your farm by attending this 3-day workshop. This workshop is geared to producers or herds people who want to gain a better understanding of trimming and treatment techniques for common lameness problems. Time will be spent in classroom, lab and on farm. On farm we will use 3 chutes, allowing 6 people to trim at a time (2 people/chute). This workshop is limited to 9 participants.
Once completed, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

We are in the process of determining if the course meets the requirement of the Agricultural Skills Development (ASD) component of Growing Forward Business Development for Farm Busineses program. If it meets meets the requirements, producers will be eligible for upto 50% cost share. For details on the program see the Growing Forward Website
We have experience in educating students in a classroom and hands-on laboratory setting. This can be offered at your facilities or ours.
